Styled by Mark – Fashion, Style and Grooming advice for Men made simple! The Brioni Spring/Summer 2016 Collection is a reminder of when styling meets fashion. The house has a rich history of exquisitely tailored suits. I have noticed recently that creative director, Brendan Mullane has infused the tailored suiting with colorful mood influenced styling that demands multiple looks due to the sheer departure from its traditional offerings.
The Brioni Spring/Summer 2016 Collection features two-button notched suits; some with and some without color highlights. The colors of spring in blue, green, gold and the unexpected burgundy make for an amazing color palette. Then there’s the unexpected Parkas made of Japanese silk that further demonstrates the juxtaposition of free-flowing vs. tailored in a magnificent way. Belts were also added to suiting, silk shirts were paired with shorts and casual pants that seemed consistent for the season. For the traditional man looking for the accents that set the suiting apart, one could take comfort in the tailored jackets with elbow patches, suede pockets and top-stitching. As you can also tell, each look was paired with either amazing monks or sandals. The jackets over the silk shirts with their trimmed collars looked spectacular paired with the pants.
If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m pretty excited about the Brioni Spring/Summer 2016 Collection; not that my opinion matters! I just want it on the record. Lol.
