The Burberry Prorsum Spring Collection is an impressive array of bold primary colors, relaxed tailoring, with shoes that are just as rich in tone as the ties and other pieces of the collection. I recall for years that the first thought that would come to mind when you mentioned Burberry was the traditional trench coat, the plush scarf and the undeniable iconic umbrella. The deliberate and successful global rebranding has completely changed the look and feel of Burberry. I love the rebranding as it appears to have something for every member of the family regardless of style preference.
The presentation theme for the 2014 spring collection was Writers and Painters. From the vivid colors infused throughout the entire collection, it would appear the theme and collection were in perfect harmony. One of my future goals is to attend a Burberry Show with London as a backdrop. I’ll be sure to let you know when that finally happens.
The Spring 2014 show was the first collection unveiled in London in a number of years. The move from Milan was probably met with a degree of uncertainty and a level of trepidation. Based on all comments shared by the Fashion industry’s who’s who, the collection, venue and presentation were all an amazing success.
As always, today’s blog shares my favorite looks; but is not an exhaustive representation of the entire collection. To enjoy more looks beyond what’s shared below, simply visit www.us.burberry.com.
