“Pier” Pressure: A Multiple-Colored Experiment at the Pier

Gentlemen, how often do you think that traditional blue blazers are designed to be worn strictly with a button down shirt?  Actually, most business executives believe that blue blazers should  only be paired with a white, blue or yellow shirt in order to look presentable and pass the corporate meeting room test.  Well, have no fear fellas, let’s take a different approach today in the Styled by Mark Blog.

As we consider ways to spice up the traditional business casual look, we can’t be afraid to push the boundaries somewhat.  In todays look, I’ve decided to infuse my traditional combination with some color that pushes the envelope.  The setting is the beautiful pier in Altamonte Springs and was the perfect backdrop for this photo-excursion.  Instead of a boring button-down shirt, I’ve paired my blazer with a multicolored western influenced dress shirt.  I also substituted the brown brogue with a single monk with amazing details.  During this shoot I decided to leave the chinos at home and wear a flat front dress pant, cuffed with a western motif pocket.  Lastly, we managed to snap a few shots of my timepiece to demonstrate subtle ways to enhance your look with quality accessories.

Let me know what you think about today’s look.  For more information on what’s hot, style advice and exclusive information from Styled by Mark, subscribe to the blog.  You can also follow me on my other social media outlets such as Instagram, Twitter and Bloglovin.
