Styled by Mark – Fashion, Grooming, and Lifestyle advice for Men made simple takes on the new khaki suit for spring/summer: the Brown suit. According to GQ, brown is the new khaki. I love the casual and versatility of the the khaki suit. It’s reserved enough to be considered classic and relaxed enough to be a viable option when looking for the right outfit for an important outdoors event.
When choosing your khaki or brown suit you have to take your skin tone and hair color into consideration or the entire look becomes underwhelming and detracts from all of your planning. Darker skin tones like mine should go a little lighter so as not to wash me out. Conversely, lighter toned men should go with a darker hue to avoid the washed-out look as well. The beauty of the tan/brown family of hues means that there are a number of colors to choose from.
For today’s post, I opted to wear a tan slim-cut suiting (Paisley & Gray), shirting by Tommy Hilfiger, Ted Baker neckwear and Ermenegildo Zegna wing-tips. The setting is the Winter Park Country Club and Golf Course near Orlando. This particular day, I was so glad I pulled off the shoot because it happened to have been the warmest day we’ve experienced this spring in Orlando. Wearing the versatile brown suit can be fun as well as stylish; so take advantage of one of the hottest summer trends by investing in this wardrobe must-have.
