The J. Crew Fall 2015 Menswear Collection eases into the fashion season with a slant to the military. The brand used rich tones of browns, greens, reds and grays to weave a cohesive signature collection that makes it one of my favorites. The jeans with exceptional cardigan sweaters and military/construction designed boots and jackets will have mass appeal for the man on the go!
As with other designers, Frank Muytjens, also included a padded/quilted-like runners pant pairing them with lace-up oxfords that added the new sports-core edge. The military influence is really apparent in the amazing green padded bomber jacket that was paired perfectly with a v-neck sweater, slim-fitted wool trousers, ankle-length winged-tip boots, knitted ties and the nicest silk tuxedo scarves.
The silk scarves were paired with a significant number of the looks featured in the collection. The collection will connect with men from a variety of industries with its sophisticated overcoats, double breasted suit, dark jeans, wool pants, cargo pants, oxfords, padded sweats and a variety of sweaters. It’s a well-appointed collection we have come to appreciate under the design direction of Muytjens.
