Valentino, the luxury fashion brand celebrated another successful showing with the unveiling of its fall 2015 menswear collection. Under the design direction of Pierpaola Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, the fall collection remained remarkably well tailored and classic. As I looked at the Valentino suits, I couldn’t help but recall my fond childhood memories of watching my dad get dressed and being amazed at how every piece just worked so well together. The tailored suit, the white shirt, slim necktie and pocket square that somehow looked picture perfect. Without question, I am a huge fan of the suiting offered in this collection.
Much can also be said of the playful and well crafted overcoats that used fantastic geometric elements that played well with the classic silhouettes. The leather and shearling jackets were great additions to the collection and further proved its versatility. The use of the camouflage and geometric color blocking in the backpacks, sweaters and jackets were definitely well executed.
The Valentino Fall 2015 Menswear Collection left me excited and looking forward to the SS16 looks. However, I’ve decided to stay in the moment and enjoy the fall collection before looking too far ahead. What’s your favorite? Share with a friend and let us know what you think about the collection.
